Privacy Policy
Effective January 1, 2026
Save Your Energy ("Save Your Energy," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you interact with us — including when you visit saveyourenergy.us, call us, or engage with our ads on TikTok, Facebook (Meta), Google, or Snapchat — how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide: Name, address, phone number, email, household information, and program-eligibility information you share when you contact us or enroll in a state-supported utility savings program.
Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time on page, and similar usage data collected through cookies, pixels, SDKs, and server logs.
Information from ad platforms: When you interact with our ads on TikTok, Facebook (Meta), Google, or Snapchat, those platforms may share limited information about the interaction (such as ad click, conversion event, or hashed identifiers) with us.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to: (a) determine eligibility and assist with enrollment in state-supported utility savings programs; (b) respond to inquiries and provide customer support; (c) operate, secure, and improve our website and services; (d) measure and improve the performance of our advertising; and (e) comply with legal obligations.
4. Advertising programs
We advertise on multiple platforms and use their measurement and audience tools to reach households that may qualify for the programs we support. Each platform has its own privacy policy that governs its collection and use of data, and you can opt out using the controls each platform provides.
TikTok Ads
We use TikTok's advertising tools, including the TikTok Pixel and Events API, to measure ad performance, build custom and lookalike audiences, and deliver ads. TikTok may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed on our site, actions you take (e.g., clicking "Call" or submitting a form), and hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email or phone number) when you provide them. TikTok uses this information consistent with its own privacy policy.
You can review TikTok's privacy practices and ad-personalization controls at tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Facebook / Meta Ads
We use Meta's advertising tools, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to measure ad performance, build custom and lookalike audiences, and deliver ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and the Meta Audience Network. Meta may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed, actions taken on our site, and hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email or phone number) when provided. Meta uses this information consistent with its own Data Policy.
You can review Meta's privacy practices at facebook.com/privacy/policy and manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
Google Ads
We use Google Ads and Google's measurement products, which may include Google Analytics, Google Tag, conversion tracking, and Customer Match. Google may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed, actions taken on our site, and hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email or phone number) when provided. Google uses this information consistent with its own privacy policies.
You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy and manage personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Snapchat Ads
We use Snap's advertising tools, including the Snap Pixel and Conversions API, to measure ad performance, build custom and lookalike audiences, and deliver ads on Snapchat. Snap may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed, actions taken on our site, and hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email or phone number) when provided. Snap uses this information consistent with its own privacy policy.
You can review Snap's privacy practices at snap.com/en-US/privacy/privacy-policy and manage ad preferences in your Snapchat account settings.
6. Your choices
You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. You can also use the in-platform controls linked above for TikTok, Facebook/Meta, Google, and Snapchat.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
7. Data retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page.
